ASAHI SMC pentax-M 28MM F2.8 on DLSR?
I have a ASAHI SMC pentax-M 28MM F2.8 lens. When I put attach it to my K-X DSLR a tab on the bayonet moves, opening the lens up all the way. For example I will set the lens to f/22 but once it “clicks” onto my Kx it goes to f/2.8. Even when I move the aperature dial or take a picture the aperture blades dont open or close?
Any way to fix this please,

The Pentax-M is an auto lens. Auto meaning when you connect the lens to a compatible K-mount body, the aperture will open up fully to make focusing easier. You can set the aperture to any value you want and the aperture blades will still remain open. When you press the shutter button, the aperture will stop down automatically to the setting you selected right before the shutter opens. If the lens does not do it, there is something wrong with the linkages inside it. You can have it repaired at any Authorized Pentax Service Center. To test it, select the highest aperture setting on the lens. Select Bulb for shutter speed. Press and hold the shutter button as you face the lens and check if the aperture blades close down to make the smallest hole possible. Once you release the shutter button, the blades should move out of sight again.
