The Acer Stream featuring a 5 megapixel camera capable of video recording in High Definition
The Acer Stream has a 5 megapixel camera capable of video recording in 720 pixel High Definition resolution at 24 frames per second, which can be played back on the handset or instantly shared with social networks such as Facebook or Twitter. Additionally, it has a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen with multi-touch input.
The handset runs the Android Eclair (2.1) operating system, which is upgradable and powered by a Qualm Snapdragon 1 Gigahertz processor and 512 megabytes random access emory. It also has 512 megabytes of read-only memory alongside its 2 gigabytes internal memory backed up with a microSD card slot capable of offering up to 32 gigabytes of expandable storage memory with 8 gigabytes included respectively. The handset has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera for image and HD video capture with automatic geotagging supported by the integrated Assisted GPS antenna and digital compass.
The Stream features great connectivity with microUSB connector supporting USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.1 with the A2DP wireless stereo audio profile supported. It also has a 3.5mm jack connector for standard headphones to be connected to enjoy music on the music player which is supported by dedicated music keys and sound enhanced by Dolby Mobile technology for optimum audio output. The handset also features an integrated stereo FM radio with RDS support for live news and music. Furthermore, the handset also has a microHDMI port allowing you to connect the phone to a High Definition enabled television or similar device for a big screen view of HD videos on the handset.
The phone has threaded view SMS (text) messaging along with multimedia messaging and full email support with push notification to instantly be informed of a new email message. For further chatting to friends the handset also has instant messaging, along with its integrated third party applications such as Facebook and Twitter social networks and photo and video sharing capabilities through Flickr and YouTube respectively. Other applications available include full HTML browser capabilities for the Web, Google Search, Maps and Mail respectively; and a Document Viewer which opens Microsoft Office and PDF documents.
The Acer Stream is an impressive multi-touch handset with a large 3.7 inch display capable of rendering up to 16 million colours and bringing the power of the Android operating system and its many applications available for download to you. The camera is present to provide an easy way to take great videos in High Definition which can be viewed on a big screen thanks to the micro HDMI port featured alongside the other connection possibilities offered.
