Ive been considering the Canon Elura 100, have heard the motor noise is loud and is on audio…. anybody else?

The loudness seem to vary from camcorder to camcorder, so be sure to test it right away – return to the retailer for exchange until you find a good one. If you wait too long to exchange it, the retailer may refuse to take it back, and you’ll have to go to the manufacturer under the warranty.
