Standard for wireless charger is ready
This Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has provided a standard for wireless mobile devices Chargers finished. In a statement it was said that there had been agreement in three key areas of “Qi-Low-Power” standards, based on induction technology. The standard could theoretically end the days when you needed for each mobile device has its own charging station.

The interface specifications had been already passed on to members of the consortium, they say. On 30 August they will be published. According to consortium members only get the other parts of the standards to be seen. The publication of the standard means that manufacturers can begin with the development and production of Qi-compatible devices. However, each of these devices to be certified before it is standards compliant.
“We have everything ready, what is needed to produce products with the Qi logo to certify and distribute. To the Qi standard is itself, ie the technical specification, test procedures, certification services and the Logo License, about which one the right to use the logo gets, “said a spokesman for WPC ZDNet.

To set a Qi-compatible product, such as a mobile phone, a charger, the station is activated and communicates with the mobile phone. The type of the issued equipment and its performance arises. The WPC has 27 members. Among them HTC, Nokia, LG, Research in Motion and Samsung are. Even Duracell, Olympus, Philips and Texas Instruments are in the WPC. The consortium has focused on standards for devices that absorb less power than five watts, such as mobile phones and MP3 players.
