Coated Filter
Should I use a Multi Coated UV Filter with this lens?
This is the Lens I have coming in the mail.

I was told that along with this lens I should get this UV Filter

It would be 15$ less than the listed price.
What are the Pro’s and Con’s between getting it and not.
Since I have to replace one of my UV filters at least once a year (I shoot a lot of sports and get crunched once in a wihle) and there are times when someones fingers get to your lens (I am talking about when using assistants)
If I really, really have to have a extra sharp shot? I use an extra sharp lens under a controlled environment without the filter, but it goes right back on when the shoot is over.
I have seen the invoices for a front element repair … about half of what the lens costs new.
I buy the least expensive multi-coated UV’s I can find made by BW, Hoya or Tiffen 62 mm are under $40
