I want to start a portrait studio what is the basic equipment i’ll need?
I have a very basic digital sla camera, photoshop and a computer. I have found a small shop to set it up in. I have worked in a portrait studio in the past. Any advice on setting up a small business also appreciated and best place to get the equipment.
Thanx for answers. Why do I need a computer with 8 gig ram? Would 3 gig do until I get a bit more cash together?
You have worked in a portrait studio so you should already know the basic equipment (camera, couple of lights, background at the most basic). But you obviously have not thought about the rest of it.
where how are the shots going to be developed/printed
how are you going to get them to your customers
how are you going to take payment
how are you going to get customers through the door
All very basic stuff to think of/sort out before you start
