Eye Lens
How useful is a fish eye lens in film production ?
I am thinking of buying a fish eye lens for my sony HDR FX 7 however I do not know how usefull it would to me on film shoots. Does any body have any sugesstions.
Its an expensive bit of glass to buy for occassional use.
I personally hate them and would favour a straight 0.7x or 0.8x without the fisheye distortion.
It is okay for effect in very specific circumstances, folk tend to buy them and over use them. Bikers and skaters love em, and as a result all biker and skater footage looks the same.
