Lenses and Angular Magnification?
You have two lenses, with focal lengths f_1 = 2.61 cm and f_2 = 21.1 cm.
I just need help with part D please!!!
a) How would you arrange these lenses to form a magnified image of the Moon?
–as a telescope with f_objective}=21.1 cm and f_{eyepiece}=2.61 cm
b) What is the maximum angular magnification these lenses could produce?
— f_o/f_e (21.1/2.61) = 8.08
c) How would you arrange the same two lenses to form a magnified image of an insect?
— as a microscope with f_{objective}=2.61 cm and f_{eyepiece}=21.1 cm
d) If you use the magnifier of part C to view an insect, what is the angular magnification when the insect is held 2.89 cm from the objective lens?
I am having trouble with this problem…i am confused on the equations needed…if someone can please help me!!!

To see the moon or see small stuff, you need the lens with smaller focal lenght for your eyepiece.
Your part c is wrong. It is the same as a
so you will have part d as 8.08 times!
