Throw a Hollywood inspired birthday bash

Birthdays call for over-the-top themes since they are huge events in their own right. A Hollywood-themed birthday extravaganza is perfect for those who have larger than life personalities and enjoy a good shindig. And, with all the amazing party decorations available, preparing for the big night can be an event in itself.
Before running out to stock up on balloons and party string, one must first send out invitations to announce the big day. Birthday invitations for this occasion, especially with a Hollywood theme, should be bold and loud. Try sending out invites that resemble the envelopes presenters open at award shows. You may even be able to find invitations decorated with golden statuettes, movie tickets or buckets of popcorn.
Next, start to think of amazing decorations that’ll take this birthday party from being the same old fiesta to something that will keep your friends talking about it months later. You can line your walkway or driveway to make it look like a red carpet of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Setup velvet ropes to give it a VIP allure and you can even hand out passes to your friends to make it seem like an authentic movie premiere. Hang a large banner that resembles an old movie theater marquee with your name is large, bright colored letters.
If your budget allows, setup your very own Hollywood sign, welcoming guests to a fun-filled evening of excitement. Place life sized awards statuettes around your venue and have your guests pose alongside them. Use fun VIP stage door covers to transform your home into an exclusive Hollywood party where only your friends have access.
Every Hollywood party has amazing food and beverages, so why should yours be an exception? Whether you decide to do the cooking yourself or hire a caterer, make sure to have plenty of paper goods on hand to help keep your friend’s ensembles clean and tidy from any stray food or spilled drinks. Paper plates, napkins, cups and tableware in black and gold make for great additions to your raging party. You may even be able to find paper goods that have Hollywood emblazoned on them accompanied by plenty of stars. And don’t forget to decorate your tables too by placing stylish table runners. Try including festive centerpieces that resemble a film canister or director’s camera.
Lastly, every good Hollywood party sends their guests home with a goody bag full of fun party goods and treats. Select chic goody bags to pack full of candy, festive VIP passes, key chains that look like movie clapboards. You can even hand out awards at the end of the night for best performance or best costume if people really get into the Hollywood spirit.
Just because you don’t live in Hollywood doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate a piece of the legendary town into your next fiesta. Remember, remaining organized and making a list of everything you’ll need is essential to pulling off a memorable birthday party.
