A whole house filter tends to have a higher initial investment then a simple drinking water filter but the benefits to having clean water come through every tap in your house is enormous.

Method of Filtration
The Aquasana Rhino uses three advanced stages of filtration.
Stage 1 – 5 micron sediment prefilter for the removal of rust, dirt and microscopic particles that cause cloudiness and scaling from tap water.
Stage 2 – A blend of KDF-55, a copper-zinc oxidation media for the removal of chlorine, and a crushed mineral filter stone. By removing the chlorine and preconditioning the pH, this stage allows maximum performance for the final and most important stage.
Stage 3 – High grade activated carbon for final reduction of chlorine and other chemicals common in tap water.

Important Facts and Features of the Aquasana Rhino
The Rhino EQ-300 comes with the main filter unit, the installation kit, shut-off valve and required hardware. It is necessary to have a plumber to install your unit the first time in order for the warranty to be effective. Once it is initially installed you will never need to use the plumber again.
The great thing about this water filtration system is that it is designed to be virtually maintenance free for 3 years. The pre-filters need to be changed every three to six months which isn’t a big deal, but the main filter unit should be replaced every three years or 300,000 gallons (a plumber is not necessary to change this unit).
I have found that most whole house water filters will require far more maintenance than this unit. I personally spent years using a system that cost more than twice as much as this Aquasana system where every month or so I had to keep adding salt. The cost of doing that as well as changing filters can really add up. To me, the affordability and convenience of this water system is far better than most others out there.
Pros and Cons…

Although the Aquasana whole house water filter may not be perfect, it does offer great value for a good price and you can count on it leaving you with very clean, fresh and healthy water. They have a good satisfaction guarantee whereas if you are not satisfied they will buy it back from you within 90 days. I would highly suggest comparing this model to other whole house filtration systems to see the benefits for yourself.
