Filter Sets
How do I set up a filter correctly in my yahoo mail?
I set up a filter so certain emails of mine can go in to one file automatically as they come in my yahoo mail but it’s not working and just keeps coming into my inbox. I’m not sure what to put for the filter name if you are suppose to put the email addy of the sender or just their name. Also what do you put where it says “if all of the following rules are true …..4 areas”??? Any help would be appreciated Thank you.
To set up a personal “Filter”, to re-direct incoming mail (from a designated address), to a separate folder, instead of the inbox.
Mail page>>options (top right)>>mail options.
Then click on “Filters”—and click “add”.
The name of the filter is just for your own identification—so just put their name if you wish.
It’s pretty much self explanatory, but basically—-you enter (on the from header line) the EXACT address you want to re-direct—-choose a folder (or make a new one here)—-then click “add filter”.
The other 4 areas you refer to are mostly used to target specific words.
