Medium Format Camera Stability Issue!?
I recently picked up my first ever 120 camera and hope to test it out with some landscapes on the weekend. Its a Nettar folding camera in great condition, however I have noticed that there is no way to stabilise it with the tripod that I currently own.
Are there any reccommended methods to avoid camerashake over a relatively long exposure (1 or 2 seconds) with this camera?

The Nettar seems to have the same tripod socket as my Zeiss Super Ikonta C… bulbous and lacking any semblance of a surface area for proper contact.
I deal with this by leaving the camera in its (n)ever ready case for tripod shooting. The camera fits snugly in the case, and the case has a perfectly adequate tripod socket. I use a cable release or the self-timer to trip the shutter.
If you want to mount the camera directly on the tripod plate, I’d improvise a thin ring (rubber washer?) to place around the tripod screw – something to seat the camera more securely. Don’t tighten the tripod screw too vigorously though – the camera’s bottom plate is flimsy and you’re likely to pull the camera to shreds.

Umm… I don’t know what you plan on shooting that would require a 2 second exposure but I’m sure you know what you’re doing. Personally, I use a dSLR to take measurements. I haven’t gotten around to buying a light meter yet.
