Looking For Honest Critiques/Opinions!?
I am wanting to enter the Ritzcamera.com photo contest. I would like some honest critiques and opinions on two photos. Can they possibly even come close to placing?
One shot was taken with Film – Fuji Superia Reala in Manual mode. The other was taken with my g-pa’s digital. Please don’t reply with yes/no or really short answers.

Your photos are great, I bet you can keep up.
I have one recommendation for the photos which feature objects such as your Puma gear: the photos are great, but I’d recommend utilizing a blank background for objects.
Think about advertising… if you want to highlight a product, put it someplace were it highlights from the backdrop. I suggest using tape to secure something white (as paper for example) against a flat surface so you can place the products on it.
This way the back texture won’t distort the overall image and it forces you to find a place with good illumination (avoid shadows, unless they’re part of the concept).
