how do i get super 8 motion picture film developed?
i have a bell & howell 430 autoload super 8 motion picture [video] camera. i am all set with batteries & film to record, but i was just stopped abruptly by wondering, what do i do with this film to get it developed? will i really get a series of pictures back? or something more like a disc? where on earth would i go to develop this type of film? any help with anything regarding this camera would be greatly appreciated, i’m pretty clueless. thanks! [also, i don't need to know the steps to physically develop the film myself, just where to take it & what to expect.]
What brand of Super 8 film is it? If it’s Kodachrome 40, you can send it for processing to Kodak Labs. The US and European addresses are on this page:

Enclose your return address details with your film cartridge. Kodachrome Super 8 film was always sold with processing included in the price, so you won’t need to send them any money (hooray!).
If it’s not Kodachrome, just type “Super 8 processing” into Google – there are some labs in the UK and US, such as The Widescreen Centre (UK):

You’ll get a little reel back with your film wound around it. Ciné film is essentially a long strip of tiny slides, the camera takes so many mini photographs (frames) per second. You’ll need a Super 8 projector or ciné editor machine to watch it. Have a lot of fun!
