Will graded paper work in the same developer as multigrade?
Anyways, I managed to get around 25 sheets of graded paper-Ilfospeed 4.1M 4-graded medium weight paper, for free. So I’m going to get access to the school darkroom quite soon, but I’m wondering if I can use it there, since the school uses and calls for multigraded paper. I know the contrast filters won’t work with graded, but I wonder if it’s still usable, and whether I can use it in the multigrade developer. I’m quite short of cash at the moment and really don’t want to plop down another $25 for some Ilford MGIV right now.
Yes, it will work in any photographic paper developer. Some will produce warmer or colder results than others but they will all develop the paper.
