Have you ever had problems with your camera remote control?
Have you ever had problems with your camera remote control? I have a Fujifilm S3 Pro and a JJC TM-B remote for it. Each one seems to be working separately just fine and they did their job for a while, but now they act like they don’t communicate. All functions of the remote seem to work and the camera definitely works. It’s just that the remote doesn’t actually control the camera. The contacts on the cable and socket both look fine. It went bad when I was using it on a cold night. How should I troubleshoot it?
The only problem with the (standard) remote on the Sony A700 is that it’s wireless and has very squidgy buttons that easily get pressed in a full camera bag. I’ve learned to remove the battery from it when not in use. The wired remote I’ve got for it works wonders too, no issues with that ever (so far).
Regards troubleshooting it, I can only think if you by any chance know (or regularly bump into) someone else with the Fujifilm S3 Pro you could see if thier remote works with your camera. Other than that it’s everybodys friend and enemy EBAY!
