How to change the bulb in a Samsung projection TV?
Often people suffer from the problem of a broken lamp when using a Samsung projection TV, which is normal. Following the steps mentioned here, replacing the lamp or bulb should not take more than five to ten minutes. Projection TV bulbs only last for so long and then they need to be replaced.
A Philips screw driver and a pair of pliers are the only tools needed for installation. The lamp enclosure’s pull out handle needs to be removed by simply squeezing in the handle’s end and that will loosen the back of the lamp enclosure.
The metal lamp enclosure is held by two screws, one on each side, which need to be removed. The case also has screws that need to be removed. Now the metal enclosure needs to be pulled straight up and it needs to be pulled apart from the plastic case.
Six screws need to be removed next and the lamp bracket also has screws that need to be removed. The nut right in the middle can be unscrewed with the fingers and the ballast wires need to be removed as well.
Without loosing the washer under the nut, the lamp needs to be pulled out and the lamp enclosure has thus been disassembled.
Now the used lamp needs to be swapped with the replacement projector lamp bulb. To avoid using the already used lamp for the replacement and installing it, the old lamp should be kept separately.
The assembling should now be carried out in the reverse order starting with allowing the spacers to be held in placed by screwing the first two screws. The lamp can finally be installed by working backwards. The washer on the bottom of the lamp and the nut on the top are important parts that should never be forgotten and the nut must be tightened manually. The rest of the screws can be screwed in place. The terminal screw needs to be screwed in gently.
Once all the screws have been tightened, the metal cover can be placed back on. The two screws on the metal enclosure can then be tightened, the pull out tray needs to be popped in and the bulb in the Samsung projection TV has been completely replaced and installed. Once the cover has also been replaced the TV is then ready for use. To avoid any dirt or oil getting on the bulb it should be handled with a clean cloth. Even an inexperienced user will not usually take more than ten to fifteen minutes when changing the bulb in a Samsung projection TV.
