which is a better macro lens 65mm 80mm or 105 mm?
I have a Nikon D90 and I have been playing around with extension tubes for close ups – I love it I want to get a macro lens but don’t know which one to get so many sites not enough answers any help ?
If you buy the Nikkor 60 mm f/2.8 lens, later if you buy a full frame dSLR, you will be able to use that lens with it.
The 60 mm is the standard macro lens. It can be used on a copy stand to record documents, flat art work and other two dimensional objects. The reason for buying a longer macro lens like the Nikon 85 or 105 mm has more to do with the amount of “stand-off” distance you need for the kind of macro work you intend to so. The longer the lens, the further away from the subject you will be AND the shallower the depth of field will be at any given aperture setting.
