“Lens of Love”
I have a photo album I can’t share with you
some nights I flip through vivid various pages
as I lay abed,
the dark room holds collections eternally preserved
developed candid pictures, all images are crystal clear
moment scenes appear, flashback, forward, endlessly rewind
through out eras time, of babes, childhood, youths aging now,
I edit every view to pristine, so none will leave a tear,
instead I smile, warmed by memory, gratefully my heart soars
to think; I have found a way to cheat the hands of time,
Lens of love open vast vista views when I close my eyes abed,
and there we are unchanged, as if each yesterday had never passed
cherished moments standing still within my photo album heart.

I cannot explain the greatness and beauty of this poem without ruining my reputation as a curmudgeon. You have really put me in a bind. Thanks for the privilege of airing my inconsistencies.
