Best and cheapest macro and telescope lens for sony a55?
im getting a sony a55 slt (dslr) for christmas and i would like a macro lens and a telescope lens for it but this is my first dslr and im a student so not they best or money =[ so i dont what to pay a fortune. So any info will help and if you think theres any other equipment that you think would be helpful that info would help to. Thank you!
Second-hand Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 off eBay. £150-200.
Second-hand Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 off eBay. £80. You can buy them new for £120.
The Tamron 70-300mm is slightly optically better than the Sigma 70-300mm past 200mm. Also the Sigma will not work on your A55 unless it is new stock and has the A33/55 compatible sticker on it. Sigma lenses have to go back to Sigma to get re-chipped for them to work on the Sony A33 or A55.
Get the Tamron 70-300mm before the 90mm as it has a 1:2 macro switch, you might find that you don’t need a dedicated macro lens if that suits your needs.
I have the Tamron 90mm (and the Minolta 100mm), but due to the cost, be sure that you really need one.
Is there something you really need in the A55? The A33 is cheaper and will give you extra money for a lens.
