Minolta Autocord
Where can I get a Minolta Autocord case?
I’ve just acquired a nice Minolta Autocord from 1956, however it came caseless and strapless! So, if anyone knows where I could find a case for it, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
The original cases are hard to come by since they were fitted leather cases. I got one with my Autocord, but it was so dry rotted it was useless. As far as straps, you can use any camera strap. If it were me, I’d just pick up a small camera case and keep in in it, since if you do manage to find an original case it’ll be expensive, and/or in horrible condition. I even took mine in to be redone, but nobody could restitch it because of the way it was originally done it requires special equipment. The place I finally found that could do it wanted $100 to do it, but couldn’t guarantee the leather would even hold up to it.
