Photo Postcards
whats the difference between using photos and postcards to record your travel?
Photos are more personal, while (in most cases) postcards look better.
Professional photographers with years of experience and education are paid to produce postcards, while a tourist is just taking snapshots, albeit not under the best lighting conditions, poor composition, and with various distractions. However, you could include yourself and/or your friends in the photos and it makes the memory more personal.
The best you could do is learn about photography, and apply that knowledge when traveling. Take pictures AND buy postcards. Learn some more, travel back, and try to get a shot that YOU could sell as a postcard!
