How can you use an iPod as a storage drive / portable memory / flash drive?
I over heard someone talking about it so i googled it. I found the official apple site and it explained it but i couldn’t understand. I want to use it as storage for microsoft word documents, and other stuff. can anyone help me?

What you need to do is plug the ipod in and open itunes if it doesnt open by itself. On the left hand side of your itunes page, click on the ipod. It will highlight your device and bring up a main page for the ipod. On this main page under the picture of your ipod there will be boxes you can check. Check the box that says enable disk use. Then click apply at the bottom of the page. This will make your ipod synch, but that only takes a few min to do, meaning it is just saving the new settings. Now whenever you plug in your ipod you can go to your “my computer” option from the start menu and see the ipod. You can click on your ipod and it will open it up for you, here you can create differen folders to store documents, etc. Just right click and select add new folder. Here you can drag other files onto the ipod that you can carry around from computer to computer.

Also, there is a new iTunes update out… I would def recommend it! All you need to do is go and click on the last option on your toolbar (sorry, cannot remember what it is call, no iTunes at work). Then scroll down and select search for updates.
