What are checkpoints for creating window light portrait?
i know its placement of the subject and light to dark ratio i just cant remember anymore. so techniques?
im asking for the camera techniques and im drawing a blank ha so help please

Well, the answer would be a window. The subject and the camera / photographer. And of course, sun light.

Camea technique? The light meter measure the light. This photo was taken with a fully manual camera. The light meter suggested a setting, and I just set it. What are you asking? Should you measure the shadow or the highlight?
If you are getting into the technique aspect of this, you might have paid more attention in class.
By the way, I used film, negative film, so the exposure did not have to be right on the dot.
