Projector lamps performance gets affected when it is used for a long time resulting in dimming visuals from the projector and this would be the right time to change a new one. So, while buying a projector lamp you should consider some important aspects that will help in making the projector perform better. The important factors that have to be considered while buying a projector lamp are explained below in a detail manner.
The first thing that you want to take care while buying is the user manual which will help you to find the lamp specification for your projector. If the lamp specification is not given in the user manual you can call the manufacturer and get the details and this will help you to get the right product. The projector lamp housing varies from one manufacturer to the other and hence all the manufacturers will have their own lamp and also the lamp housing differs from model to model. So you want to be more specific while buying about model number and manufacturer of your projector will help you to get the right lamp whenever necessary.
After getting the specifications of the projector of your projector you should find a supplier who can provide the right lamp of good quality. Make sure that you go for a projector bulb with proper housing that can be fixed in your projector. It is always better to go for a lamp that provides warranty and check the projector lamp if the manufacturer’s logo is present. It is not enough if the manufacturer’s logo is present in the lamp box but also it should be visible over the projector bulb too. The logo over the projector will help you to find the genuine part from a manufacturer.
Internet is also a best place to buy a good quality projector lamp. If a manufacturer is not providing warranty against poor performance of the product, it is better to stay away from such products. Warranty is most important thing for any product. Also check if the out casing is also original and manufactured by the company that manufactures. Duplicate projector lamps will not have the manufacturer’s logo or name printed properly on the lamp or the box.
In some projectors bulbs to identify the manufacturer a special code is printed on the projector bulb. These special code is provide only by some specific manufacturer’s like Phillips, Iwasaki, Osram, Matsushita and many more. When the above instructions are followed while buying you can get a quality and a genuine projector lamp for your projector and this will help you projector to deliver very good performance for a very long time.
