What is a good camera that is around $200 for a new comer.?
I really want to get in photography. But i dont have the money right now to by a really nice camera seeing that I am 15 and cant get a job. So my mom said that she would buy me one for around 200 for my birthday so does anyone have camera around that price. I was thinking about this one.

Does anyone have this specific camera.
I’ve always used SLR cameras for photography. They are way more versatile than anything else you can find. If you get one, you can slowly over time buy new lenses so that you can take different kinds of pictures. You can also buy accessories to do all sorts of things you can’t with an SLR wannabe or point and shoot.
They give you WAY more flexibility to set the focus and aperture yourself, which is important for getting really great shots. Plus you can learn a lot more about the importance of these kinds of things and how you can manipulate them for really awesome effects.
I know they can be pretty expensive though… but here’s an alternative. Buy a used one! Especially if you just want to learn and get started, you don’t need an amazing camera. It’s more important to learn how to take good pictures. I have a Nikon D40, which is pretty well the most pathetic DSLR that there is, but people are amazed at my photographs.
If you’re willing to be patient and want to learn, you can pick up old film SLR cameras on ebay, with several lenses, for less than $100. (Like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-FTb-QL-Manual-SLR-Film-Camera-NR-/330458522034?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0#ht_1926wt_1137)
If you don’t want to go hardcore like that, I would suggest getting a point-and-shoot style camera. They can still take great pictures, while you can get a feel for how much you like photography and learn the basics of composing pictures, which is important. Being good at taking pictures has more to do with setting up the shot than the kind of camera you use, so long as you know how make good use of the camera you have.
