Screw Vented
How can i fix my bathroom ceiling vent.?
My heating/AC vent in my bathroom is just a plain metal vent hooked into the air ducts that is just held up in the ceiling by two screws. recently the vent fell down from the ceiling. i looked and found both the holes for the screws are totaly striped through the drywall and there are no studs behind them. how can i get my vent to stay in the hole where it is supposed to go and that will most likely keep it up there? thanks..
You can buy screws that have a metal butterfly arrangement on them. Drill a hole to fit the screw with the attachment and insert it through the drywall then tighten the screw to pull the now opened butterfly down to the drywall. You may have to drill the metal of the vent also.
