Does Image stabilization in both lens and body sensor work together?
In Canon EOS system, does the image stabilization system of a Canon IS lens or any third party lens (eg. Sigma)and Image stabilization system of the Canon EOS camera body work together simultaneously? Can I use these two system in body and lens simultaneously to get a cumulative effect that is greater than the two alone?
More precisely, does it worth to buy both IS camera body and IS lens together? Please guide me. Thanks in advance.
One of the best lenses that I would recommend for your Canon EOS camera would be the Canon 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro lens. Focusing is very reliable, but a little noisier and slower than newer EF lenses. Optics in this lens are very high-quality, and allow for beautiful photos.
The lens allows for macro focusing of objects up to a ratio of 1:2 life size. This lens also allows for infinity focus, a capability that some macro lenses lack. This means that you can use this lens as a regular 50mm lens. Some more expensive macro lenses can focus at “life-size”, meaning that the smallest objects that can be focused will be recorded on the film or image sensor at the same size that they are in real-life.
