K&N 77 Series High Performance Air Intake
The performance enhancing K&N 77 Series High-Flow Air Intakes are engineered for Trucks and Sport Utility Vehicles, utilizing those massive engines to perform optimally. Factory installed parts offer many restriction that exist BETWEEN an air filter and the engine reducing the benefit of the air filter or even if an installed K&N Air Filter has been added.

These outstanding kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the air filter and the entire air path leading to the engines air opening channel. The aerodynamically engineered aluminum tube drives a massive amount of airflow into an engine, which translates into POWER and Torque.
The intake is easy to install, requiring a few basic tools: socket set, two wrenches, a screw driver, and an Allen wrench, basically household tools. The intake has a slightly smaller diameter on the filter end with engineered components strategically placed to ensure air flow characteristics fall within the vehicle’s computer parameters while maximizing power at the rear wheels. The design incorporates a heat shield that takes advantage of the existing stock factory inlet to bring in cold air outside the engine compartment.

They come with an oversized High-Flow conical air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity. This extra surface area provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard O/E replacement filter from this company that is limited to the size of the factory air box. Most 77 Series Kits include a heat shield designed to seal against a vehicle’s hood to isolate the air intake from engine heat.
