My panel curtains don’t touch the ground – they hang short. Is this ok?
I have panel curtains in my living that are a little short – hang about 8 inches off the ground? Is this ok? I know they show curtains touching ground or pillowing over but these don’t and I really can’t spend money on new ones. I just want to know the “decortating rules”
mainly they say they should touch or be only an inch or so above the ground. I sew custom drapes and such and I left mine about 2 inches so when I vacuum I don’t have to lift them and they don’t get caught in the vac. They also say curtains should be within an inch or two of ceiling.
But if what ya got loOKs ok then stay with it. If you want to lengthen them put a 7 inch border at the bottom and use “stitch witchery” if you don’t sew. It can be used to iron two fabrics together.
