Ambico Tripods Review – Perfect For The Amateur Or Aspiring Professional Photographer
The photography market is a crowded one these days, with better and better camera technology becoming more and more affordable for the masses. Whether you are an amateur photographer, a hobbyist with a desire to turn your work into a freelance career, or an established professional, the bottom line is that you will have to invest in some quality photography equipment at some point in your career.
Perhaps the most important piece of equipment after your camera will be your tripod. For many professionals, this all-important stabilization tool is the difference between a decent and truly amazing shot. For amateurs looking to get to the next level, a quality tripod is a must.
Tripods by Ambico are the best value in tripods on the market, and the perfect solution for anyone who wants to invest in some tripod equipment without paying a hefty price tag. These tripods come in standard and mini sizes, and will instantly transform family photographs, videos, landscapes and other projects into crisp, professional-looking shots.
At around two pounds, Ambico tripods are extremely lightweight, making them the ideal tripod for family vacations, tough location shots or just storing in your photography bag in case a Kodak moment strikes. Its pan head setup allows for stunning panoramic shots or a slow-and-steady pan with a video camera, useful for those without the steadiest of hands. The head also moves three ways for angle versatility, and features a one-handed install and removal for the camera or camcorder. The legs have a quick-release mechanism and a center column lock to keep the whole tripod as steady as possible – which is the reason you need the tripod in the first place, so that’s a huge plus.
The mini tripod version provides all the same features and value with even more portability. While the larger Ambico tripods extend up to 54″, the Ambico mini tripod extends 4.5″, making it perfect for tabletop setups or easy storage in camera or day bags.
Ambico tripods are much less expensive than most of the tripods in the field, and they offer enough stability and portability to be a great value, but there are tradeoffs when you go with a cheaper, lighter tripod. It certainly isn’t the sturdiest model out there, with a tendency to break at the legs and head pivot. The same is true of the mini versions. A higher investment obviously will buy a higher-quality product, but an Ambico tripod works just fine for on-the-go shoots and will hold up well under minimum to moderate usage.
This is the perfect tripod for the amateur photographer who aspires to elevate his or her photography to the next level. It has as many pros as cons, but is an ideal first tripod and an even better on-the-go tripod.
