Underwater Ice
if all the ice on both poles melt will the entire world be underwater?
Nobody (except some ‘end of the world’ers) are saying that will happen, for a start as a few other said the Arctic is sea ice, it’s melting would have no direct impact on sea level rise there may be a small effect from the water left in it’s place as water is darker than snow so there may be a small addition to thermal expansion of water, but the ice itself would not change sea level.
That said, Antarctica and Greenland are not sea ice they are land based glaciers, with much of there mass not in the sea at all, they are much slower to melt in fact if you go by the IPCC estimates on sea level rise by the end of the century (0.5-2m) they are not expecting much contribution from ice either.
The math on the volumes of ice in Antarctica and Greenland do give a quite accurate picture of how much sea level would rise if they did both melt ~65m (Antarctica) at ~1/7th the area, Greenland would contribute about 1/7th of that or around 9m or a total of ~74m, bad but it would certainly not cover the entire world, but such a melt would require thousands of years.
Apart from this sort of rubbish mostly repeated in denier points, I am not aware of any scientist who has said that this is going to happen any time soon (soon being centuries)
What is most likely is a continuation of the slow rise in global temperature which will slowly increase the rate of melt from these glaciers a contribution of just 1% from both (plus thermal expansion) is close to 1m of sea level rise which is pretty much the mid point of the IPCC estimate.
Before the mid 1990s sea level rise was ~1.7mm per year (measured bu tide gauges) as of the 1990s the switch was made to satellite data (far more accurate) they show a rise to 3.26mm and the rise continuing despite denier claims the world has been cooling for a decade. Thermal expansion is a straight forward process that obeys the laws of physics, small fluctuations show up in the data pretty close to there actually happening you can see the small spikes in 1998 & 2005 and the small dip ~2008 which was a cooler year, so where is the ten year decline to go with deniers ten years of cooling, simple answer, not to be seen anywhere, in that 10 years average sea level has risen 30mm this is in line with the yearly average it shows no sign of slowing or declining.
In fact the NASA site has increase the average from the 3.26 to 3.27mm a small change yes, but it adds to the point of no decline.

Deniers usually try to shrug this all of as “just the continuation of the end of the last ice age” but here again the data does not support them. The sea level rise associated with that started ~20k years ago and slowed significantly ~8k years ago

Pretty much coming to a stop ~2k years ago (a good portion of our recorded history) so their talking point that this is still recovery from the end of the last ice age, really has no substance.
But then no substance pretty much sums up most of the denier case.
