Bird-watchers, have you spotted these Iraqi travelers?
The endangered Basra Reed-Warbler from southern Iraq (and possibly southwest Iran) has been spotted in Israel’s Hula Valley.

The pairs like the environment of the Hula Valley so much that they’re breeding here. For an endangered bird, that’s great news.

. There’s a lot of cooperation between scientists of various middle east countries including Israel on bird & wildlife management & research. The creatures don’t tend to know when they’ve crossed borders. There’s all sorts of projects together…. The Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (what’s it’s name?) has a ton of links from it’s website.
